Dennis P. Barba, Jr., Ph.D. is the Founder and Chairman of Oxford Harriman Private Wealth Management, an independent, multi-custodian wealth management firm built to provide advisors and clients with the freedom, flexibility, and resources necessary to pursue exceptional outcomes.

In addition to his role at Oxford Harriman Private Wealth Management, Dennis is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Oxford Harriman & Company, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Princeton Harriman Insurance Solutions, and a Managing Partner of London Oxford Tax Services. Together, these organizations form a comprehensive wealth management professional services platform owned by Oxford Harriman Holdings.

Now in his fourth decade in financial services, Dennis has dedicated his career to building organizations that place client interests first while empowering financial professionals with the resources, technology, and support necessary to operate and scale their businesses at the highest level.

As Founder and Chairman of Oxford Harriman Private Wealth Management, Dennis is responsible for the firm’s strategic vision and long-term direction.

Dennis began his career in financial services in 1986 and has held leadership positions with several nationally recognized financial institutions, including UBS and Raymond James, before founding Oxford Harriman Holdings in 2015.

In addition to his work in financial services, Dennis is the author of multiple books on investing, financial decision-making, and investor behavior, and has served as an adjunct professor for nine years at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.

Dennis earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is also an alumnus of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and California Coast University. Dennis holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Business Administration.

Outside of the financial services industry, Dennis has served as a coach and mentor through his involvement with the Ohio Basketball Club (OBC) and the New York Jayhawks. Dozens of his players have advanced to compete at the collegiate level and professionally both in Europe and the NBA.

In 2023, Dennis expanded his involvement in the sport internationally when he became a part owner of Iraklis Basketball Club in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Dennis and his wife, Monica, have been married for 34 years and reside in Sarasota, Florida, and Cleveland, Ohio. Together they have raised three sons: Peter and Owen, who live in New York City, and Andy who resides in Chicago.
