Geoffrey was raised in Connecticut and lived in Boston for six years prior to relocating to Southern California. Geoffrey and his wife, Catherine, met while studying abroad at the University of Salzburg in Austria. They have now been married for 28 years and have two daughters, Hannah, who lives and works in Utah in commercial real estate and Abby, who lives and works at Charles Schwab in Arizona.
Geoffrey and his family strongly believe in the importance of giving back. His wife, Catherine, is extremely active in many charitable causes and devotes a significant amount of time supporting them. Most recently Catherine has been involved in helping to establish the new 501(c)(3) Seal Beach Pickleball Association to help promote and expand this new sport in the community. Over the years Geoffrey and Catherine were deeply involved in the Los Alamitos school district, re-starting the reading incentive program at Weaver Elementary School, serving on the board of Directors for Friends of Weaver, Friends of Oak as well as supporting the Los Alamitos Education Foundation (LAEF). Geoffrey also has supported several worthy causes, including recently serving on the board of directors for the Orange County Council on Aging. The Kings also enjoy spending time with friends at Sea Coast Grace Church.
If any time remains, Geoffrey squeezes in golf at Old Ranch Country Club, mountain bikes in the hills of Southern California and has a passion for skiing during the winter season. As new empty-nesters, Geoffrey and Catherine have gotten bitten by the pickleball bug recently as well. He also enjoys tinkering on his 1963 Austin Healey.
Geoffrey and Catherine have been married for over 25 years and have two daughters, Hannah, and Abby. Hannah is a graduate of the University of Utah (Go Utes!) and is now living and working in the Salt Lake City area. Abby is a graduate of Arizona State University (Forks up!) and now working for Charles Schwab. The King family enjoys traveling together and spends time each year with family in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts and London, England.
